Clan - a little shop of beautifully designed goods - was opened by Hannah and Niall in November 2024.
Lockdown saw us move from Dublin to the islands of south Connemara where we worked from home - Hannah with eCommerce platform Shopify, Niall in project management.
It was during this time we set up an online shop Léas that specialised in natural, beautifully designed candles. Support from family, friends, colleagues and customers made this little venture a success and set us up for a move to the bricks and mortar.
Our friends Aoife and Andrew opened their gorgeous cafe, Beag, on Henry Street, Kilrush in March 2024 and right beside Fitzpatrick's butchers stood vacant. The terracotta floor, red-grout tiles and proximity to the best coffee in west Clare made for the perfect location.
The shop doubles as a beautiful space where I (Hannah) can continue to design, build and maintain websites for clients. Using primarily Shopify for eCommerce brands and Squarespace for services and weddings I create websites with an emphasis on simple design, smooth user experience and highly effective optimisation.
