Absolutely! We will hand-write your card beautifully and send via An Post - just leave your message at checkout. If you're a little lost for words check out our blog that gives lots of message ideas!

 

Are all of the candles in the library made from vegetable wax? 
They are and always will be. The Leas librbary will only ever showcase soy, rapeseed, Australian or coconut wax candles. 

Paraffin wax candles won't ever be considered. The remnants of the oil purification process from petroleum, coal or oil Paraffin wax emits nasty toxins when burnt. Avoid at all costs! 

 

Why are all of your candles not Irish?
Sourcing from more Irish suppliers is one of our top priorities but when stocking the library we take wax quality, purity of essential oils, fragrance consideration, burn time and product design into consideration. We are on the constant look out for products that score highly in these areas - if there are Irish candle makers you know and love please let us know!

 

I want to know more about the Leas/Wolfgang Reforest promise.
The Wolfgang Reforest ambition is "to create a movement of people planting trees". For just €20, you can plant a native, Irish oak tree and play your part in reviving the Great Tinahely Oak Woodlands in Co. Wicklow. We are committing €2 from every candle sold to this cause - meaning for every ten candles sold, one tree will be planted. You can keep up to date with our progress right here!

 

How are the candles packaged for delivery? What if my candle arrives broken on delivery?
We dedicate time to patiently and carefully wrap each and every order that leaves our library here in Connemara. Candles are packaged in a reusable, linen Leas bag, wrapped tightly with recycled, unbleached, corrugated card and packed with soft, environmentally-kind, dissolvable packaging beads.

Accidents happen and if your candle happens to arrive in a condition that is anything less than lovely get in touch with us right away. Send a picture of your product along with your order number to hello@leas.ie and we'll be in touch.
